Drill EP
Before “Creep,” Radiohead introduced themselves with four songs recorded close to home. Drill grew out of the Oxford sessions that brought the band together with producer and future manager Chris Hufford. [1] [2]

Release history and significance
Hufford went to see the group, then known as On a Friday, at Oxford’s Jericho Tavern after hearing a demo. He remembered a fast, rough-edged performance with carefully built songs and a striking frontman in Thom Yorke. He invited them to his Courtyard studio, beginning a working relationship that extended beyond recording. [2]
The band adopted the name Radiohead before issuing Drill through Parlophone in 1992. Produced and engineered by Hufford and mixed by Timm Baldwin, the EP contains “Prove Yourself,” “Stupid Car,” “You” and “Thinking About You.” Its recordings precede the better-known versions of several songs on Pablo Honey.
