Release history and significance

Harris later resisted the impression that he had arrived from nowhere. He remembered the unsuccessful records that came before his breakthrough; the 2002 Stouffer single was one of those early steps. His work began in Dumfries, making music at home while holding a job stacking shelves. [1]

Prima Facie issued two originals with remixes by DJ Shark & Fotr and Peter Presta. The four-track twelve-inch places this beginning within club culture: each song is offered in its original form and through another producer’s treatment. [3] [4]

The record precedes I Created Disco by five years. Its significance lies in that earlier working life, when a young producer was finding a way from private experiments to a record that DJs could play. [1]
