Low Era
Geese began as five school friends recording in a Brooklyn basement. This single-sided “Low Era” record reached Rough Trade Album Club subscribers in August 2021, as their home-made project was finding an audience beyond New York. [1] [2]

Release history and significance
Cameron Winter, Gus Green, Foster Hudson, Dom DiGesu and Max Bassin met at high school and built their early recordings around friendship and a basement studio. Rough Trade championed them during the year that led to their debut album, Projector. [2]
Asked to name their early career highlights that August, the band included finishing the album, leaving the basement and taking their old music teacher out to celebrate their label deal. Those modest milestones give a sense of how quickly school life was giving way to a recording career. [3]
The Album Club record contains “Low Era” on one side, with no catalogue number. Its QR-coded sleeve links the physical release to the band’s digital material. A separate two-sided Partisan edition also appeared in 2021. [1]
