In 1992, Seo Taiji and Boys brought rap, dance music and rock into the centre of Korean pop. Their debut album reached a young audience whose enthusiasm helped change whom the music industry made records for. [2]

Release history and significance
The partnership began with a dance lesson. In 1991, Seo approached Yang Hyun-suk to improve his dancing. Yang later recalled being so struck by the music that he proposed working together; they then brought in Lee Juno, already a respected dancer. Lee said it was the music that persuaded him to take a supporting role. [2]
Bando released the album on 23 March 1992. On 11 April, the trio performed “I Know” on an MBC television show. The judges gave them the evening’s lowest score, but listeners made the song a hit. The album went on to sell about 1.7 million copies. [1] [3]
This ten-track LP includes “Yo! Taiji!,” the Club Mix of “I Know,” “You, in the Fantasy” and “In the Time Spent With You” on side A. Side B ranges from the Live Mix of “My Everything” to the English-language “Blind Love,” “Rock ’N Roll Dance” and “Missing.” [1]
Their success encouraged Korean entertainment companies to pursue teenage audiences and develop younger groups. Seo’s involvement in the music, clothes and public image also made the performer’s whole presentation central to the appeal. The later idol industry developed this model on a much larger scale; this album captures an early turning point. [2]

Physical Description
A twelve-inch LP in its original full-colour picture sleeve, enclosed in factory shrink wrap. The sleeve identifies Bando Records BDL-0023.
Condition
Factory sealed, with intact shrink wrap and sharp sleeve corners. The sleeve is recorded as Mint.
